Worst I've experienced with RGB Fusion is needing to manually start it every month or so, because my RAM color was the default, but as soon as I started the app, the Ram RGB would work and I would just X out of it. RGB Fusion also has a ton of posts about bad experiences, but I have built several PCs recently with Gigabyte boards, and RGB fusion works just fine, uses 0% CPU and 100MB of RAM tops. Initially, I thought that its a subset of vocal people. Game launcher for mobo software? Monitoring pieces? Power profiles? Fan speeds (lul BIOS?)? I also see a TON of people saying that Armoury Crate, which is now required for RGB, kills gaming performance or causes other issues. However, as I started looking into the software, I notice that it includes a ton of junk that I have no interest in using. A z690 mobo that really caught my eye and stood above all others to me was the ASUS Maximus Hero. I even secured some DDR5 RAM that is always sold out in the event I decide to pull the trigger on the build, returning the RAM if I don't move forward. I've been considering putting together a build with a 12900k.
